Having to stay in the exact same place for weeks on end might sound like a dream come true. It might also be your worst nightmare. For many WTA tennis players, it’s become a great opportunity to get creative and showcase it on social media. We already wrote about Kristie Ahn’s TikTok skills, and various other WTA players have found great ways to keep busy while in quarantine.
Seriously though, if you’re a tennis fan and haven’t watched Ahn’s TikToks yet…do it! This one remains my favourite:
Besides making TikToks, Ahn can also be seen flawlessly covering Hallelujah with Canada’s Carol Zhao. We love that social media can bring together these kinds of collaborations.
Speaking of creation…can never, ever go wrong with pancakes.
Of course, home workouts have taken centre stage for WTA players across the world, and there are some great ones here!
With the Olympics postponed until 2021, and everyone on the same team to fight COVID-19, what a perfect time to « play for the world. »
Madison Keys is doing her part to fight coronavirus, by auctioning off items and donating the money to a relief initiative. Leadership.
And this one’s really creative…how about Johanna Konta as a contestant on British Bake Off?! That’s an interesting cake I’d love to try.
Kiki Bertens with three 1,000 piece puzzles…no chance we’d still be in quarantine by the time I finished those.
TikTok, baking shows, puzzles, and now Naomi Osaka with her own fashion line…what fantastic ways to keep busy and keep those creative juices flowing.
We’re all playing for the world right now, and our actions these next few weeks will have a significant impact on the spread of COVID-19. Serena says it best:
